Robyn L. Motley
Senior Vice President & General Manager
Robyn Motley is senior vice president, revenue optimization for AARP Services Inc. and general manager for AARP Media. In this capacity, she directs AARP’s multimedia sales and operations for AARP’s print and digital properties, including AARP The Magazine, AARP Bulletin and AARP.org. She is also responsible for Influent50, a full service direct response agency, and a subsidiary of AARP Services, business development for commercial partnerships, and data and analytics for AARP Services.
Prior to joining AARP, Motley served as regional senior vice president and chief financial officer for Sun Sentinel, Orlando Sentinel and WSFL-TV. She joined Sun Sentinel as vice president, chief financial officer and director of finance in April 2007. In February 2008, Motley was promoted to regional senior vice president when she assumed additional financial responsibilities for the Orlando Sentinel. Then, in March 2009, Motley assumed financial responsibility for WSFL TV.
Before joining Sun Sentinel, and beginning in 2005, Motley was the vice president and chief financial officer at Daily Press. From 1999 through 2004, she served as director of customer accounting for Tribune Company.
Motley began her media career in 1988 at The Washington Post, where she held a number of positions including, advertising sales and service manager and manager of credit, collections and administration.
Motley holds a master’s degree in business administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Wellesley College.
